I am grateful to the echoes of reality
That swim up to me
Wet and glistening in starlight.
Saturated by the glow of a million suns,
These echoes bask.
Cradling, with their quantum manifestations,
All hope
All possibilities
And, like ourselves,
All the reasons for joy and despair
Which are,
All the same.
I reach out to these tangible experiences,
That repeat unending
Waiting patiently for the light from within to illuminate their structure,
Their soft downy-ness hiding spikes of pain and sparks of compassion.
These remind me of my hair in the dry desert filled with static
As I stand on the fuzzy carpet in my childhood home.
The sun of earth imperceptibly edging toward the horizon
Spinning out more and more glory
As it comes near
The otherness of our dark side.

Salt water
My time is racing and rushing
an over swelled brook
through veins hardened by experience's harsh capabilities
the rain pushing out the boundaries once formed of solid stone
ebbing and swelling
life
scares me
it exhilarates my soul
it takes my stomach
and knots it so
crying tears from my thoughtful examinations
walking on the jarring mis-steps of others
stairs that have never known my hope
my tears of tenacity
of pure agitation
and strength greater than the ocean
we must swim
I have the salt water in my heart
and the sea mother knows my name
she crys it nightly
bashing her will against the out cropping of rocks
knowing she shall emerge
in victory
an over swelled brook
through veins hardened by experience's harsh capabilities
the rain pushing out the boundaries once formed of solid stone
ebbing and swelling
life
scares me
it exhilarates my soul
it takes my stomach
and knots it so
crying tears from my thoughtful examinations
walking on the jarring mis-steps of others
stairs that have never known my hope
my tears of tenacity
of pure agitation
and strength greater than the ocean
we must swim
I have the salt water in my heart
and the sea mother knows my name
she crys it nightly
bashing her will against the out cropping of rocks
knowing she shall emerge
in victory

The rain
Custom wheels
busted banged up
babes
Axed exes
Aint it grand
My sweet tired and dragged fans?
You saw my souped up ride
beneath the tired sky
raining acid
pulling paint from the metal
ragged jags
tear shaped follies
drawn for all to see
It is almost beautiful
to me
reminding me of the forest in fall
after rain
sustaining my faith
through fractal images
that something is true
and all will be fine
after your death
and mine
busted banged up
babes
Axed exes
Aint it grand
My sweet tired and dragged fans?
You saw my souped up ride
beneath the tired sky
raining acid
pulling paint from the metal
ragged jags
tear shaped follies
drawn for all to see
It is almost beautiful
to me
reminding me of the forest in fall
after rain
sustaining my faith
through fractal images
that something is true
and all will be fine
after your death
and mine
fresh
My toes are cold
they creep
through the sole of my
torn shoe
I walk in snow and sunlight
all of it glinting
singing it's song of light and air
beastily nipping at me
through my vulnerable
spots
they creep
through the sole of my
torn shoe
I walk in snow and sunlight
all of it glinting
singing it's song of light and air
beastily nipping at me
through my vulnerable
spots

Space cadet
I am a space cadet
blown by the wind
wondering with curiosity were to begin
the dreamer in me says I should huddle by the fire of my wishes
the worker says comfort is gained through achievement
the dragging pleasure seeker says dip your toes in all you find
What should I mind
which part has my wholeness cradled in its mysterium?
Is it me anyway the stumbling darker self the questioner who gains no Joy from it's questions but only from its journey
Observe the voiceless whisper
Awkwardly I begin
at the end
blown by the wind
wondering with curiosity were to begin
the dreamer in me says I should huddle by the fire of my wishes
the worker says comfort is gained through achievement
the dragging pleasure seeker says dip your toes in all you find
What should I mind
which part has my wholeness cradled in its mysterium?
Is it me anyway the stumbling darker self the questioner who gains no Joy from it's questions but only from its journey
Observe the voiceless whisper
Awkwardly I begin
at the end
